Ο δήμος (the municipality · la mairie) της Αθήνας έκανε μεγάλες δουλειές (works · travaux) εκεί. Φύτεψε (planted · a planté) σχεδόν 2.000 νέα φυτά (plants · plantes). Ανάμεσά τους είναι 30 δέντρα (trees · arbres). Έβαλε και πολύ γκαζόν (lawn · gazon). Το γκαζόν έχει 1.100 τετραγωνικά (square · carrés) μέτρα.
Ο δήμαρχος (mayor · maire), ο Χάρης Δούκας, λέει (says · dit) ότι η πλατεία άλλαξε (has changed · a changé) πολύ. Θέλει περισσότερο πράσινο (greenery · verdure) στην πόλη (city · ville). Θέλει και νέα ζωή (life · vie) για τις γειτονιές (neighbourhoods · quartiers).
Ο δήμος φυτεύει πολλά δέντρα. Σε λιγότερο (less · moins) από τρία χρόνια (years · ans), έβαλε 14.000 νέα δέντρα. Έφτιαξε (created · a créé) και πέντε νέα πάρκα (parks · parcs). Τώρα οι κάτοικοι (residents · habitants) και οι επισκέπτες (visitors · visiteurs) έχουν ένα πιο πράσινο μέρος (place · endroit) στο κέντρο.
Klafthmonos Square is in the center of Athens. It is an old and historic square. Every day thousands of people pass through it. Now the square is new and more beautiful.
